About Classes and Camps

Classes

The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center seeks to cultivate a love of theatre, music and dance in children of all ages through after-school classes, weekend workshops, and skill-based master classes.  Taught by highly skilled, professional theatre, music and dance teaching artists, classes are designed for both young children developing life skills through the performing arts, and also for youngsters and teens who are interested in pursuing an advanced course of study.

Looking for the perfect class or workshop for your child?  Try our easy class search featue.

All questions can be directed to Julienne Penza, Arts Education Program Manager by e-mail at juliennep@whbpac.org or by phone at 631.288.2350, ext. 114.

Camps

WHBPAC provides a variety of week-long camp experiences that not only introduce youngsters to the arts, but also support the development of life-skills: teamwork, social skills, responsibility, commitment, self-esteem and creative development.  Historically, camp offerings have spanned a wide spectrum of arts areas, including Musical Theatre, Shakespeare, Ballet, Composing, Broadway, Puppetry and Play-writing.  Camps are traditionally offered in the summer months of July and August, and also over school vacation breaks during the school year.

Teen Scene

WHBPAC is committed to engaging adolescents in the arts all year long.  Our summer evening Teen Theatre Troupe gives young people ages 12 and up the opportunity to meet other like-minded teens, learn about acting and perform at the end of the summer.  During the school year, teens may take scene study and auditioning classes or audition to be part of our Teen Theatre Project: the production of a full-length play or musical.  Teens may also audition for select performing arts ensembles, including our Hamptones A Cappella Group.  These select groups have the opportunity to perform at special WHBPAC events and beyond!
